10th March, 2011
I can’t tell you how pleased we are to be supporting Twestival Cornwall 2011 this 24th March.
Once again the Cornwall team is about to pull something really special out of the hat, making more than a valuable contribution to the global Twestival programme and directly supporting a very local cause.
The beneficiary for Twestival Cornwall 2011 is the Cornwall Community Foundation, a fabulous organisation committed to supporting local projects in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly that engage local people in making their communities better places to live.
There’s something for everyone on Twestival Local day though in truth it all gets going late on the 23rd March, with a Pyjama Party at Starbucks, Chiverton Cross (11pm – 1am.) It continues the next day with a series of “Ask Aren” social media workshops with social media guru, Aren Grimshaw. A special Treasure Trail round Truro is also on offer (or a “Treasure Twest!”) and then the day culminates in the headline evening event… but there is an air of mystery about this so watch this space!!
Although the event captures the attention of the local business community that largely embraces the opportunities that social media offers (and let’s face it, you can’t ignore the ‘Twitter’ connection…), the emphasis is very much on the ‘social.’ The wonderful thing about these events is that they have a history of engaging people who wouldn’t normally give time to regular business networking.
We’re delighted to be a sponsor for Twestival Cornwall 2011. To see why, take a closer look at what’s on offer here:
