Eco Towns
We would like your opinion on "Eco Towns"...
The former Labour Government introduced a strategy for the development of a number of 'Eco-Town' projects across the UK.

An Eco-Town would be a community that provides houses, business space and would also have a large amount of green space.

There are a number of conditions imposed by Government relating to proposed Eco-Town developments, such as:
- Achieving zero carbon across all the towns and buildings;
- 40% of the area within the town should be green space;
- Minimum of 30% should be affordable housing;
- More options for travel and ensure a minimum of one job per house can be reached by walking, cycling or public transport;
- Easy access to frequent public transport and everyday neighbourhood services;
- Sustainable Homes, meeting standards for household waste recycling, construction waste, water efficiency measures and reduced pollution.
Would you consider living in one of the Eco-Town developments?
