The information you provide to The Entrepreneurs Panel will be shared with The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations (i.e. PFA Research Ltd and [Other Company Ltd]). The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations will not edit, share or disclose any personal information about you without your prior consent. In the course of your membership of The Entrepreneurs Panel, The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations may acquire personal data and information about you which you have provided in the course of registering with The Entrepreneurs Panel or participating in The Entrepreneurs Panel activities. This information may include your name, home address, email address, telephone number and other generic information provided in relation to your participation in The Entrepreneurs Panel activities. This information will be treated in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and also in accordance with the Market Research Society Code of Conduct (see http://www.mrs.org.uk/code.htm.) In this regard, The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations undertake only to use the data you supply to us according to the following conditions:

1.1 We will not rent or sell any data which may personally identify you to any third party.

1.2 You will never receive communications from any third party as a result of your registration with The Entrepreneurs Panel or participating in The Entrepreneurs Panel research activities, unless you specifically opt to do so.

1.3 Your data may be disclosed to clients for research purposes. Such data will only be supplied in anonymised, non-attributable form such that no party external to The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations could use the data to personally identify you, or to contact you by any means.

1.4 Your anonymised data may be disclosed to business associates, marketers or advertisers for the promotion of The Entrepreneurs Panel services. For example, we may disclose to a client the percentage distribution of the gender of The Entrepreneurs Panel membership. Such data will be supplied in anonymised, non-attributable form such that no third party could use the data to personally identify you, or to contact you by any means.

1.5 Research results may also be released into the public domain. This is typically in aggregate form and will not result in the disclosure of any personal identifying information.

1.6 The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations will clearly state why we are collecting personal information and how it will be used. At your request we will allow you to inspect and edit any personal data relating to you (for which we may make a small charge).

1.7 The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations undertake to store your personal data securely. The accessing and processing of personal data by The Entrepreneurs Panel designated personnel will be restricted to business requirements including (but not necessarily limited to) research data analysis communications with The Entrepreneurs Panel membership, and addressing queries, technical problems or complaints.

1.8 You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any login information issued to you by The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations (e.g. username and password, if applicable).

1.9 The Entrepreneurs Panel membership cannot ensure that private communication and other identifiable personal data will never be disclosed in ways not described in this section. For example (without limiting the foregoing) The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations may be forced to disclose the data to a government agency lawfully requesting the same or to any court acting in pursuance of its powers. We reserve the right to and you hereby agree to allow us to disclose any information about you to law enforcement, government officials or to any court or court officials as we in our sole discretion believe necessary or appropriate.

1.10 Nothing in this Agreement relating to the confidentiality of information shall prevent or hinder The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations from complying with their legal obligations as to disclosure or otherwise under the Data Protection Act 1988.

1.11 By becoming an Entrepreneurs Panel Member you agree to allow The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations to communicate with you in relation to your membership of The Entrepreneurs Panel and opportunities to participate in The Entrepreneurs Panel activities. These include but are not necessarily limited to communications relating to Entrepreneurs Panel polls, other forms of research undertaken by The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations, The Entrepreneurs Panel research results, The Entrepreneurs Panel newsletters, changes which may affect your participation in The Entrepreneurs Panel activities, benefits and prizes offered, and other communications pertaining to your membership (e.g. account queries and / or complaints). Communications will typically take place via email though may from time to time involve postal, fax or telephone contact. The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations will always use e-mail and all other forms of communication methods responsibly.

1.12 Like many other commercial websites we may use cookies (a text file placed in the browser directory of your computer's hard drive and designed such that any website other than the one that set up the cookie cannot read the cookie.) Typically, cookies will be used by The Entrepreneurs Panel survey web sites to prevent multiple submissions of online surveys, though may from time to time be used to enable The Entrepreneurs Panel management organisations' websites to recognise personally identifiable information you have voluntarily provided and may be used to present you with custom web pages.
